The Iceni were an alliance of four or five groups inhabiting much of East Anglia, including Norfolk, north Suffolk and north-east Cambridgeshire. Their most famous ruler, Boudica, led a revolt against the Romans in AD 60. Mint sites: Thetford, Saham Toney and Needham.

Female head facing left, sharply pointed nose, heart-shaped ear, diadem above forehead, corded curls for hair, snake in reversed S-shape in front./ Prancing horse facing left, tiny S-shapes for mane, double right rear leg, pellet boss in ring of pellets above, pellet in ring below, triple line exergue, middle line beaded. ABC 1495, VA 80, BMC 3524-27, COI 5a, S 432. VF/Good VF, bright silver, bold horse, sharply struck. Found Debenham, Suffolk.        Was £275. Now only £250
